A demand-driven approach to addressing youth employment in Australia

Youth unemployment is a growing challenge for Australia which is at 12.7%, up from 11.4% five years ago. McKinsey & Co, the Macquarie Group Foundation and AlphaBeta worked together to understand the employment challenges facing young Australians, and potential initiatives that could address these challenges. Our research took a demand-led approach to identify areas of high potential for youth.
