Book Review: Guy Gets Girl
Overall: CAdvice: B-Presentation: D-Value: C+Overview: GuyGetsGirl
is a huge site with numerous e-books to help men in the dating world. This
review will focus on the main book "GuyGetsGirl" (the beginner edition)
that was written by Tiffany Taylor. This book, however, is only 63
pages long. People who buy a membership for this site are really paying
for the other extras as much as the featured book itself.
Presentation:
One word describes the GuyGetsGirl website and e-books: chaos. After
navigating through sales pitch after sales pitch to buy the book, you
finally find yourself to a member's area, where it's then difficult to
figure out how to download what you just bought, and then you need to
find that password to access this other area, and then you want to
download the book but can't find it on the page, and then after
throwing your computer on the floor and doing the Mexican hat dance,
you are able to download the e-book.
After you download the
books, you'll find most are poorly organized and difficult to follow.
It also seems like they are still trying to sell you things once you
even bought the product, and then you realize they aren't trying to
sell you anything, they're just being annoying.
The original
GuyGetGirl book is an easy read, though it's presentation is similarly
chaotic like the site. Some of the other material is so unorganized
it's barely readable.
Value: GuyGetsGirl
has several packages available, depending on your interests. Their
basic package includes several dating books and a few bonus books, and
their premium package includes advice ranging from books on sex tips,
hypnotism, and some other topics of interest. When it comes down to it
though, unless you are really interested in all of these other topics,
you are essentially paying a lot for a mediocre book and a lot of
extras you don't really care about.
Best For: People who want a wide variety of information. People who want a book written by a woman.
Worst For: People
who want a straightforward, simple book and don't want to deal with an
ultra-chaotic site that was clearly designed by a woman. People who
realize that books about women are generally best written by men that
are successful with women (such as Gabriel or
Joseph Matthews).
